15 woodworking steps alone are necessary to turn a solid block of oak wood into a first-class HUTSCHN® first-class wood. The wood for this was carefully stored in the wild for at least 10 years beforehand. Every step is handwork. What we do here cannot be mass-produced in this way.

10 years of fresh air

Quality takes time
For our HUTSCHN we only use large cross-section oak wood with a thickness of 10cm. With these dimensions and the high density of the wood, the drying process takes much, much time.

Gentle drying

We deliberately do not use mechanical wood drying.
To avoid cracking in the wood, it needs to be dried naturally in the fresh air. This takes up to 10 years and protects the wood.
