Die Sendung mit der Maus is one of the most successful children's programmes on German-language television. Since its first broadcast in 1971, Die Sendung mit der Maus has had cult status.
To our great delight, the WDR team visited Bischofswiesen on three days in June to film one of the popular, well-researched factual stories about the construction of the HUTSCHN mountain. You can watch the factual story on Youtube below at the end of the article.
The well-known author and director Daniela Nase, who also writes the popular "Ask the Mouse" books, personally directed the shoot.
Presenter of the HUTSCHN The presenter of the factual story is Johannes Büchs. He is also known to many viewers and especially children from the programmes "Kann es Johannes" and "neun einhalb".
Anyone familiar with Die Sendung mit der Maus knows that accuracy and child-friendly presentation are a key feature of this numerous award-winning programme. The Maus team therefore wanted to know everything particularly precisely.
Every single step in the construction of a HUTSCHN was scrutinised in detail and described in a comprehensible way.
For us, the shoot with the mouse was a very special highlight, which was not least due to the great team.
As you can also see from the pictures, it was just a lot of fun.
Mice as far as the eye can see....
The fun of the shoot was not neglected...even, or perhaps because, for a short time, there was a lack of orientation.
The first broadcast was on 02.09.2018. At the end of this post you will also find the link to the factual story on youtube.
